I'm sorry but I still don't get it. Could you possibly post a screenshot of your file directories?
What they are saying is this. You can not set a SUB FOLDER like Props as a content folder inside the My Library folder as a Install folder. All the DIM installs go to the Master library in this case My Library. For what you wanted to do it would look like this in Folders.
My Library
Props
Clothing
Sets
All as different folders and each folder set up as a Path in DAZ Studio as both a DAZ Format folder and Poser folder.
Here is a view of my current Multi folder set up.
Thanks Jaderail, I'll give that a try next month and try and get my head around it when I return to the Daz part of the project again.
Many thanks.
If you look at the Figures category and the the sub folders, you will see the old runtime structure. Figures generally denoted files which had a .cr2 extension. Base figures, conforming clothing, hair, animals.
The reason DS dynamic clothing is listed under the figures category is that it is a hybrid. It conforms first and then is draped by the player or more advanced plugin.
I like when the PA puts their store userid high in the folder structure... like 3d-Universe did in the OPs example... because what is more important to me than organization is uniqueness so you don't overlay other content. I use a tool called PzDB to find/search for content as mine is scattered in several DAZ and over 50 Poser runtimes. I gave up on having that perfect organized content structure long ago.
TIPs: Install with DIM, be sure the CMS and the Database is working and all metadata links are read and listing properly, this means NO Yellow ! symblos. Open the Content Library Tab go to the Products View. All content is Listed in Alpha-Numeric order, this means everything in your Database not Just Smart content. I prefer the Product View.
