change gen8 origin from feet to center?

is there an easy way to change the base of gen8 figure so rotations, translations, etc are at the center of the body, not at the feet? unless feet are in view it makes it difficult to change these settings with the gui tools and I resort to using the parameters.

You could always parent it to a null located at the center and translate or rotate the null.
