Question on Scalar values of sub-sub-components

If Parameter1 has a Sub-Component with a Scalar value of 60, and then that sub-component has its own sub-component with a Scalar value of 5,  is the 5 calculating just like the 60 where if a slider goes from 0 to 100 at 100, the first will be 60 and the second will be 5?  Or does the 5 scale in relation to the 60 at a different rate?
