the prop looks like this (see below) upon loading it in the scene

so you need to apply the nice crystal shaders by MorganRLewis

Ohhhhhh, niiiiiiice!! Thank you so much. This will definitely come in handy.

Thanks also for the link to Morgan Lewis' glass shader.

I already have Georgehaze's shader pack. I've been using it for years. :coolsmirk:

Edited to Add: Turns out I have the glass shader too. I just haven't used it in a while so totally forgot where I got it.

... and a good occasion to use jade!

the s-shaped arms were a test for mcjBuilderA - but the smoothing in ds hides the gear-shape of the extrusion profile
it wouldnt be too hard to swap the obj files

I tried Fisty & Marieah's Gemologica on the chandelier; I chose Aquamarine and Diamond Blue.

Thank you all! If I only knew why the metal parts of my chandelier became so dull and greenish. I must have made some mistakes with the lights.

It was a great Idea, mcasual, to give the cups some thickness; this way the reflections are much stronger, and the material gets more depth and colour variety. Anyway, it was a great idea to make this whole chandelier. :-)

    welcome!

the default materials are as shown below

the chrome look is obtained by applying an image to the reflection channel of the surface
this image was bundled with the prop
the prop needs to be installed in a proper Daz Studio Content folder
    for example, in c:\program files\daz\studio\content
in that case the reflection image would be in
    c:\program files\daz\studio\content\runtime\textures\mcasual\silver.jpg

there's other chrome shaders in Georgehaze's shader pack
    http://www.sharecg.com/v/27568/material-and-shader/Ultimate-Shader-Pack-for-DAZ-Studio

if you have a scene with a sky/ceiling and walls/scenery, then you can remove
the silver.jpg image from the chrome surfaces' reflection channel, and you'll obtain true reflections
