How do I rename bones?

Yep.

My bone names are so long that they push my paramer sliders off the right edge of my screen.

So I really need to shorten these bone names.

    you can do it via scene tab or by usig the joint editor tool

    It's probably the label you want to shorten, have you tried clicking on the label of a selected bone in the Scene pane?
