Help with Content Manager size.

Hi,
I am looking for some tips/suggestions for setting up my content manager to be more effective.
I recently upgraded my system Win 7/4.6Pro 64bit from WinXP and the 32bit version.
Prior to the change, my content manager had really grown cumbersome and it was taking up too much memory. Since the change I have not assigned any special categories, and have not done any "search for new content" actions. I have many years worth of files, a great number of which I rarely use.
I would like to assign a limited number of items to my Categories - mainly those I use most such as hair, as well files that are dependent on others (like morphs for V4 Fantasy dress). I do however want to avoid slowing down DAZ too much. My system is limited to 4G of RAM. This is not a problem right now, I just fear getting stuck again with long load times and other issues related to system resources.
If anyone has some tips for making the best use of my content manager without allowing it to become too big again, I would appreciate the advice.
Thanks

In DAZ Studio only set your PATHs to the folders you will use as Both formats, then after you have Imported your MetaData you can run the Content DB Maintenance Menu and set it to the setting shown below to remove all content that is NOT in those paths from your CMS Database.
Thank You.
Will give this a try.
