Hi eveyone I seem to be having an issue with the aniblocks after I've completed a walk cycle on my dino model (Cryolophosaurus) I did it all as usual like normal it looked brilliant. But when it came to creating the aniblock I played it back with the aniblock created but for some wierd strange reason it bounces up and down with the walk cycle I did? Totally bizarre it has never done that before any explanation for this guys and how to fix the problem?

It sounds as if the node (bone) you used to do the Z translate (movement) is one that has a Up down translation on it as well. If you used the Hip as the movement node and it has other translates (the up down) you will need to change the movement node to another node that has no other translates on it. If the Figure has a Root node that is different than the one you used try it for your movement node. All translations are cumulative in a AniBlock so they will combine (add) together if they are all on the same Node (bone) of the figure.
Well when I do a walk animation I use the red axis (bend) and then use the z axis to put the foot on the line before I move the next leg I've done that with every Dinosaur model I've had with no issues at all. I've looked at some of my other models translates and they all have the same options as each other (bend, twist and side to side) except this model (Cryolophosaurus) which on the z axis has in and out is that what is causing the problem I have a screenshot of what I'm talking about. PLus I've also noticed the legs on the Cryolophosaurus model are not that flexable either like most of the others is that another reason too?
Chears, Ian :)
I'm saying your Movement (Forward) should be done on a Node of the Figure (that is a BONE like the Hip) from the tree of the figure that has no other movements in it. If the full figure moves up down as it walks then that should show in the AniBlock but keep the figure from going into and out off the ground plane. As long as forward and UP Down does not MOVE the full figure up down just the nodes that should. Here I think the HIP Node should have some bounce but the Feet should stay planted properly. Do you see?
I'll give this a try then and let you know if it has worked or not
Right I've just done the animation again from start to finish walk animation went fine as before I played it back on the timeline it walked perfectly on the line and once again when coming to creating the aniblock for it, it did the same again with the bouncing up and down.
I tried 2 options when creating the animation when using the z axis I selected the whole model for the up and down parts and the 2nd try I selected the middle part next to the 2 hips and still same I am so stumped with this.
I had ago with my Compy model and did the same as I did with the Cryolophosaurus and that worked fine no problems what so ever. Is it an error with the model if so I'll email DinoRaul who made it.
Do you need a video clip of the animation to show what I have done as it would alot easier to explain to be honest.
Like I said before this is the only model of DinoRaul's that does this non of the others do.
Well I think you have found the Issue. If only one model has the problem your doing the right thing. I have no idea how to correct it if a clean node did not fix it. You have tried all I could myself. I do not have the Model so the AniBlock would be useless for me to try to test.
