Does Daz Studio create recoverable temporary files?

Simple question really - I just spent a short while knocking together a quick render but it involved quite a lot of messing around with various morphs, and when I hit save my computer unfortunately decided to crash....

Soooooo.....

Does Daz3D create a temporary file that I can recover, or do I have to rebuild the whole thing from scratch?

I am not aware of any temporary recovery files in DS. If you didn't save prior to the crash, I think you are unfortunately out of luck. While it won't help you now, I would suggest that you get into the habit of periodically making a copy of your work in the future, so that if something does go horribly wrong, you will at least have only lost changes made since the last copy. Even if DS doesn't crash, it is very easy to accidentally make changes to something without realizing it, as they might be more subtle and not show up or be immediately noticed (changes in lighting or materials, accidentally moving/rotating/distorting an object slightly, etc.

I did end up recreating it - it's close to what I had originally so I don't mind too much - It's just frustrating that my PC died on me when I hit the save button!

Story of my life, but then we Brycers are used to things like that, and do tend to save little and often (when we remember). LOL
