Hi everyone I've just bought some military camouflage clothing for a scene I want to do for my film. I've found the clothing in Daz perfectly fine, loaded up the genesis model but cannot seem to get the clothing to place on the model when I click on the 1 I want?

What am I doing wrong?

Are you parenting the clothing to the figure?

Are you sure you are finding the actual clothing and not a textures set for it.

Those are the materials for that clothing. Not the actual clothing. You load the clothing on then apply one of those textures

Oh right that makes sense then I placed them in Genesis, clothing, V3D which sends the folders into where I showed you in the screenshot. Where should I of saved them into for them to work or where do I go to find them?

Do you have the V3 Shape for Genesis http://www.daz3d.com/v3-and-m3-shapes-for-genesis

how did you get to that folder? by search?
    is it under people/genesis/clothing/materials
if you go one step to the left in the menu the clothing icons should be there, I do not have that particular set but materials are usually a submenu of the clothing in question unless you only bought the textures.

Nevermind I don't know where I got the V3 from. Here is the product list that tells you where the pack installs to http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/16056/start

Ah you mentioned V3D and I mistook it as V3

You don't need that pack I linked for the outfit to work

The actual clothes are probably in the folder that's just partially visible at top-left of your screen shot.

Do you mean this? If so then there is nothing there.

Are you in DAZ Studio Format or Poser Format?

You can also try re-importing your metadata

Metadata shouldn't matter for items to be visible in the Content Library.

I would suggest redownloading and reinstalling the clothing from the DAZ server. I have those items, and inside the Ultimate Military Basic folder, there should be four clothing items and a notice (see below -- ignore the extra pair of pants; I was trying a morph transfer experiment). If those items aren't there, then something may not have downloaded correctly.

Can you show me where you placed your ultimate military basic assets into when you unzipped the file so I can do the same for mine as that would help a great deal.

I unzipped using DIM, which put the files into \content\People\Genesis\Clothing\V3D\Ultimate Military Basic -- I have a customized directory structure, so seeing anything above that wouldn't be helpful. What you see above is more or less where it put things.

If you look inside the zipped file, you should see DUF and PNG files inside the \content\People\Genesis\Clothing\V3D\Ultimate Military Basic directory. If you don't see those, you need to redownload the file because something went wrong in the download.

what happens if you drag the duf files directly from your window into Daz?
I actually do that sometimes myself!
