Do I really need it? I am getting tired of database issues and constant corruption error messages in the logs. I do not use Smart content, so...

    Nope, you don't need it and can safely uninstall it if you want.


    Without the CMS you will find some Genesis and G2 items will require you to do a manual "fit to", this is due to them not having the correct code in the DUF file to allow DS to do it's job.

    You will lose the Content Library Tab Products View. It also needs the CMS.
