Problem with "Bath Towel and Poses for Victoria 8"

When I try to use the poses, the product instead loads a towel with the morph corresponding to the selected pose activated. While applying the morphs to the towel is trivial (they are sliders) I don't see any way to access the poses. Help would be appreciated.

What do you have selected in the scene?

I have tried selecting G8F, loading and selecting Victoria 8 in case there was some weirdness going on, selecting the towel, and, finally, parenting the towel and selecting it. No matter what I do, the pose icons (labeled and categorized as such) load a new towel prop with the morph that would fit said pose, but don't do anything else. Funny thing is, according to smart content, they are not even hierarchical poses; they should only affect the figure.

They are hierarchical poses.  You can also select the towel and there are morphs for it corresponding to the numbered poses.  If you're not using Victoria 8, but a different G8 character, there will be adjustments required.  I happened to play with this earlier today, and used Mesh Grabber to make fit adjustments.  If you like the poses, but don't want the towel, it's simply a matter of deleting the parented towel.

In my case, the poses do not apply at all, they only load the towel (and they are tagged as "pose," not as "h-pose"). I have tried installing through both DIM and Connect and rebooting Studio, but nothing seems to work. Did you notice anything unusual when you applied them?

Just to be clear, I am completely baffled with this. I am used to packs of poses and have never encountered any kind of issue beyond needing to fix a pose for a given morph.

I just tested it. Are you sure you have the character selected?

Yes. I have even tried selecting the hip bone in case there were some shenanigans going on. No dice. It's really, really weird.

Is it with all the poses or just one?

Problem solved: my default scene loaded at frame 30, and the pose only applied at frame zero, while, for some unfathomable reason, all other poses I have loaded at the current frame. Weird, but now that's something I can keep in mind. Thanks to everyone who tried to troubleshoot things for me.

Damn! Thank you for figuring this out and posting the solution! I was tearing my hair out.
