Error occurred reading file?

I've just bought and manually installed Esha's 'Summer Day' and 'Happy Day' for Genesis. I can load the clothes onto Genesis but when I try to change the material I get the message:

Error occurred reading the file: see log file.

I've checked the log file and it's unmanageably long and complete gibberish so I can't figure out why the mats won't load.

I've tried re-downloading, unzipping and reinstalling the files but it makes no difference. I don't use DIM as I prefer the control of manually installing my content.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

You can delete the Log file and DS will build a new one. It is added to every open and load ect.. only the very bottom parts with lots of Paths should apply to this issue.

Just open the log file from DS, select all (Ctrl-a on Windows) and delete, then save and close.

The most common reason this happens when loading a Material(s) Preset is that you don't have anything selected in the scene when loading the preset. I'm not saying this is what is causing the problem, but it is the easiest thing to double check. Open up the Scene pane, make sure you have the item you want to load the Material(s) Preset selected, then load the Material(s) Preset.
