Hello! I have a question. I don't know if i am asking this in the right forum. Can somebody use purchased models and items from Daz3D store, to create a 3D animation movie and then sell it on the internet or even bring it to a film festival or something like that?

Really? I mean you don't need a license or something like that?

The only time you need a license is if you are making a game, and will be using the DAZ 3D model meshes within the game.

If you read the EULA http://www.daz3d.com/eula it does explain what you can use DAZ 3D purchased models for.

When you purchase content from the DAZ 3D store you are really purchasing a license to use that content. That license among other things allows you royalty free use of 2D rendered images and animations you make of the model for personal and commercial use.

I recommend reading through our End User License Agreement which governs the use of our content by the end user.

If you want to see want someone really talented can do with DAZ products in a movie, you should watch "Rosa" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG11zhX6_jo). I still haven't found anything comparable.

For the CG, I used a combination of Blender and Daz Studio. The renders were heavily post-produced to achieve the look I wanted. .

So not just out of the "daz box "...

Yep, Wendy and bigh did inspire me to give it a try. Many done by both, and most use the DAZ stuff in some way I believe.
