RENSHAW for Valentino 8 injects eye morphs GLOBALLY on all G8Ms!

Just installed the Valentino 8 Pro Bundle and all his add-ons, and discovered that RENSHAW for Valentino 8 adds a global morph to EVERY G8M character in my runtime!  I had to uninstall him to figure out what to do to fix this.

I know that this happened with other characters I bought in the past (Alastair for G8M) which injected morphs into every single G8M in every single thing I had due to a setting being 1 instead of 0 but in Alastair it was an encrypted code setting, maybe this one isn't?

This is happening with the eyes in RENSHAW.  The pupil morph giving him the injured eye, globally goes onto EVERY single G8M in my runtime/scene (SEE ATTACHED IMAGE)

I know there is some sort of setting to be turned OFF which is turned ON at the moment that shouldn't be.  But I forget what it was/is.

Help anyone?

Thanks,

Antonio

You need to change the default value for the morph and set it to 0. You can do this by changing the morph properties (open them with the cogwheel on the slider) and then resaving the morph asset, or by editing the morph data file directly.

The morph data file may be compressed (that's probably what you've seen with Alastair), in that case unzip it with something like 7zip first.

And of course you should open a ticket to let Daz know so they can update the character.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll uninstall him until there's an update.

Go to data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Male\Morphs\Hinkypunk\Renshaw\   in your library, open Renshaw Pupil Morph.dsf with a text editor. Scroll down to line 32, change "value" : 1,    to "value" : 0,   and save it. That should fix it, for the DIYers

Thanks for the update. Haven't gotten him yet, but been through this type of bug before, really annoying.

Thanks to all for the comments back, and the helpful advice.  Sometimes stuff like this is just so hidden you never know exactly where to look.  I have spoken to Hinkypunk and she's fixed the issue and submitted it to Daz (good when you know your favorite vendors).  So we'll be take care of really soon, but figured it was best to let everyone know that this will come up.  It is a weekend coming and don't want anyone to be as frustrated as I was.

    Thanks again all !

Thanks for that tip with dSF files.

I used to edit poser Cr2 files but thought that dsf files could not be done the same way
