Collisions between human figures and furniture or other props, do they work?
Collision settings in the parameters pallet under "Mesh smoothing", are they designed to prevent figures from colliding with objects like furniture? For example: figure's leg goes straight through the sofa while posing it. After setting figures collision item as a sofa and setting collision interrations to 5 or a 10 or 20 All it does is distort a figures leg to various degrees while still letting it through.
Trying to reverce this relationship - Disabling figures collision settings, Selecting a sofa, Going into Edit - Figure - Geometry - Add Smoothing modifier, Going into sofa's parameters, sm. modifier, setting Collision Item as Human Figure and Increasing a value of Collision interrations is distorting a shape of the sofa while figure's leg still goes thru it.
All the collision tutorials I see on Youtube are about using this setting with closes.
Is there a way to prevent figure from going thru objects or wise versa? When the figure sits on a soft surface how do I immitate soft surface fabric sinking in around the weihgt of the hipps while still maintaining it's look? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I know to many of you this is kindergarden stuff but I am a begginner.
Thank you!

Collision adjust the colliding mesh so it doesn't intersect with the collision target, which is the distortion you are seeing. There isn't a way to stop a bone when it encounters another another object in the scene.
Thank you Richard!
