Don’t ever give up.
Even when it seems impossible,
Something will always
pull you through.

As long as you believe you can do it, You can.

I agree. :-)
I LIKE this guy's attitude!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Unless you're a trainee sky-diver ... ;)
LOL...that seems about right.
LOL...that seems about right.
OUCH!! :coolsmirk:
LOL...that seems about right.
Upon an unsuccessful jump, you don don't think "lawn darts" should not at least attempt to give it another go to get it right?
Humpty Dumptey eggs to differ!
A colleague at work told me, alooooooong time back, that advice given to paras was, in the event of catastrophic 'chute failure (both main and secondary) was to cross legs and hold left hand above head. When asked why that was so the answer was, "the crossed legs screw you into the ground and the raised arm means it's easy to take your watch ..." Morbid sense of humor in the army ... ;)
One thing to remember when skydiving. Parachutes come with a money back guarantee.
Why does parachuting always get the bad press here?
It's no worse than bomb disposal...
%-P
I want to learn 3d CGI, but I probably should not give up on that. I do want to give up trying to fly like a little bird since I am not a little bird.
...after over a year of being out of work and still no prospects in sight (as well as UI measure being pretty much dead), feel like that skydiver for whom both the main and reserve chutes have failed.
Because very few people take weekends off to go and dispose of bombs as a pleasure sport. However, feel free to substitute:
Bungee Jumping
Gator Wrestling
Fire Walking
Juggling Machetes
Sword Swallowing
Bull Riding
Entering Ironman Competitions

All things are possible...
...except skiing through a revolving door.
...and making gold out of lead.
... and striking a safety match on a bar of soap
Wait, I just did that. It worked! No fire, so perfectly safe.
Wait, I just did that. It worked! No fire, so perfectly safe.
If it worked, you must have a box of Extreme Danger matches, not Safety matches.
Proven doable with a big enough revolving door and a willingness to rough up your skis... and I've been in revolving doors you could drive a snowmobile through.
Don't give up
No argument here... Hence the Beckett quote I've been using below. ;-P
......or bouncing a deflated ball.
I thought it was an uninflateable ball
I thought it was an uninflateable ball
That's what Cinderella went to.
...wouldn't that mean you are out of bounce? ;-)

~LOL~ I had one of those at the gym last week. Wasn't funny at the time though.
I thought it was an uninflateable ballI thought that was an unflatable little pony... or something like that,
I know as that is where I got the idea.
I know as that is where I got the idea.
A bouncing pony is nicer than a bouncing crocodile.
It's important to keep in mind that there's a difference between realistic perseverance and an exercise in futility. :)
Unflatable Pony... Is it wrong of me to imagine a little girl playing dress-up and styling a cute 'My Little Pony' like Unflatable Pony over her shoulders like a handsome shawl, when suddenly her eyes light up with a brilliant idea. ,,,Or that this idea inspires the little girl to lay the Unflatable Pony out smartly on the floor and to place a bicycle-pump hose between its lips? ...And though she pumps in vain all that happens is the little pony's fluffy tail blows gently in the wind with each downward plunge of the pump's handle? Is this so wrong? :red: ;-P
I'm so very temped to illustrate this as a comic strip!
Yes, I'm quite disturbed.
In the spirit of never giving up I might end the strip with the image of the girl pulling a cork out of a bottle. :)
Greetings,
I don't usually, but I'm going to post this image that I picked up a while ago. It helped me a lot, and continues to help me, and I'm actually working (sporadically, I admit) on a series of renders to go along with it.
It's all important.
All of it.
