    A colleague at work told me, alooooooong time back, that advice given to paras was, in the event of catastrophic 'chute failure (both main and secondary) was to cross legs and hold left hand above head. When asked why that was so the answer was, "the crossed legs screw you into the ground and the raised arm means it's easy to take your watch ..." Morbid sense of humor in the army ... ;)

    One thing to remember when skydiving. Parachutes come with a money back guarantee.

    I want to learn 3d CGI, but I probably should not give up on that. I do want to give up trying to fly like a little bird since I am not a little bird.

    ...after over a year of being out of work and still no prospects in sight (as well as UI measure being pretty much dead), feel like that skydiver for whom both the main and reserve chutes have failed.

    Proven doable with a big enough revolving door and a willingness to rough up your skis... and I've been in revolving doors you could drive a snowmobile through.

    Unflatable Pony... Is it wrong of me to imagine a little girl playing dress-up and styling a cute 'My Little Pony' like Unflatable Pony over her shoulders like a handsome shawl, when suddenly her eyes light up with a brilliant idea. ,,,Or that this idea inspires the little girl to lay the Unflatable Pony out smartly on the floor and to place a bicycle-pump hose between its lips? ...And though she pumps in vain all that happens is the little pony's fluffy tail blows gently in the wind with each downward plunge of the pump's handle? Is this so wrong? :red: ;-P

    I'm so very temped to illustrate this as a comic strip!

    Yes, I'm quite disturbed. :lol:

    In the spirit of never giving up I might end the strip with the image of the girl pulling a cork out of a bottle. :)
