D-Force items in scenes with multiple figures

is there a way to have multiple figures in a scene using deforce items that when fitting an item to one figure does not set the other figures to join in on the simulation?
I know you can remove items you don't want influencing the dform but can I pose a figure, "drape" clothing or hair or whaver from simulation, then Lock that final result so when I move to the next figure it does not redoing the other figures?:

Freeze Simulation on the items you don’t want simulated. ManFriday’s dForce Companion makes working with multiple dForce items in a scene immeasurably easier, because you can toggle Freeze Simulation, Visible in Simulation and smoothing for all dForce items in a scene from a dedicated pane rather than tracking them down one by one.
The current version of DS adds an option for Simulate Selected to the Simulation Settings pane option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or rright-click the tab) - you need both the dynamic items and the items they are to collide with selected. (This isn't a new feature, but it used to require using a script.)
thanks both. I picked up the d-force companion.
