Various windows disappeared and can't get them back

I have a 3 screen setup and I like to keep my main viewport on one screen, my aux viewport on one screen, and then two panes with things like content library and render settings etc. in another. Recently I just tried dragging my auxiliary viewport off the 3rd screen and onto one of the others. But instead of dragging over, it disappeared. Same thing happened with my other two panes. I tried the Window > Panes tab, turning them off and back on again but they did not reappear. I also restarted Daz entirely, but again, they aren't showing up. How can I get them back??

I have a similar setup and I think there's something wrong with how it's managed by Daz studio because it happened to me in the past.. Basically right now all you can do is to reset to one of the default layout: Window/ Workspace / Select layout.. the problem that happens to me is that if I close an undockable group of tabs for a bad click there's no way to have it back: when starting daz it shows the window for a millisecond and close it immediately. I even tried to save the layout and then restore once I have the issue but it doesn't solve it..

Did you save your layout at any point? It should be able to restore the panes where you want them. There have been reports of difficulty if the monitors are of different resolutions, complicating the desktop layout. YMMV.

this is what I tried more than once: monitors with same resolution and undockable panes group but once I accidentally close the window it does not come up even after restoring my custom layout.. the windows appears for a moment and then it closes again :(

If you actually close the undockable pane, it is gone and the current layout probably updated. I have the same layout, two identical monitors, viewport in an undockable pane on the second monitor. I have lost it a couple of times, but I can always re-open the viewport and make it undockable again. There have been a couple of times when it didn't start up properly, but otherwise works well.

I don't know if the layout is updated when you close it, because it seems to open the window when you launch daz but close it immediately. also restoring the custom alyout do the same, open the window and close again.

but in my case the layout is different, viewports are still on the main window but I have a separate window for a group of panes.. so if you accidentally close it it's annoying to restore them all.. while if you close the viewport windows you're just closing daz, like I want it to be..

I said I learned it now so I just pay attentiion :)
