Can't get 3rd party content working on mac

I've read countless threads on how to install 3rd party content on mac and so far none of have them have worked. Completley lost at this stage, can anyone give me a method or two so I can actually get this working? Any help would be really appreciated

    The Data, Runtime, and any other folders at the same level in the zip need to merge into the existing folders of the same name in the content directory you wish to use - that is, the folder you have selected as a Daz Studio Format and/or Poser Format content directory (which should not be inside or contain any other content directory folders). Once there the content will be available in the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats (or Poser Formats)>content directory name>some folder.
