Geograft + Geoshell Texture Questions...

Still getting the hang of Daz Studio but I haven't been able to find an answer to this problem. I've got a few geografts on a character, as well as some geoshells for makeup and other overlays, when those are visible, the geoshells lose their textures. Any ideas why? Included some pictures for reference. Thanks in advance!

I don't think they've lost their textures, more likely it's the geoshell you see, textureless and opaque.
The part corresponding to the geograft has its own surfaces which have their equivalents on the geoshell. However material presets for the geoshell were made for a geoshell based on the original figure so they don't take those new surfaces into account, so they kept their default settings. You'll have to copy the parameters for another surface nearby to the new surfaces, or simply make them transparent.

I gotcha, thanks for clarifying. Simply needed to go through the surfaces of each shell and toggle off the visbility on the affected areas. Much appreciated!
