scene items not loading

I'm getting an error message when I try to load 'Ray of Dreams for Enchanted Forest' it reads:

One or more scene items could not be loaded while reading file: Make sure that your Daz Studio content directories are correctly set in the Content Library >Options Menu> Content Directory Manager. Please see the log file for details.

In the Content Directory Manager my current directories are

DAZ3D formats:

C/Users/(my name)/Documents/DAZ3D/Studio/My Library
C/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ3D Library

Poser formats are the same. The product itself seems to be working ok, although I can't get the rain effect to work. Was wondering is that down to it not loading correctly or do I just need to adjust the dials?

Using Daz 4.6, Windows 7 os

Go to Help>Troubleshooting>View Logfile immediately after loading the scene and getting the error, scroll down to the end and see exactly which "storables" it can't find. I suspect that it's failing to find some planes that are used, with textures, to give the missing rain effect - that may indicate either that there's a required product (possibly not listed) that you lack or that there are files missing from the installer.

Thanks for replying, this is what the log is showing:

Unable to find file for storable: data/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/maps/uv.dsv
Unable to find file for storable: data/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/uvs/default.dsv
    Error loading storable: C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/data/3_0/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/geometry.dso

This is repeated 14 times in the log. I've just looked at the Ray of Dreams store page again, at the bottom it says "This Product is for DAZ Studio 3 ONLY" could that be whats causing the problem?

DS4 should be able to load DS3 geometry, I suspect the issue with the planes may be something else - but it does appear to be as I thought, there are meant to be some planes which are presumably largely transparency-mapped away to give layers of rain. Unless you are happy with the limited functions you have from the set I would ask for a refund.

One of the main reasons I bought it was for the rain effect, so I'll try to get a refund. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Going by the name of the missing storable it looks likes someone forgot to include the primitive plane files, pPlane is the name DS3 gives to it's plane primitive, the (12pog00) is the size and measurement type (m, cm, ft etc), and the number after the brackets is how many divisions the plane has, in this case 1.

If you have DS3 then you can create the missing files yourself, in a new scene create a new primitive plane at 50 meters with one division, now save it as a scene and that will generate the missing files.

I'm using DS 4.6 and all three presets with no issues for me.

    My setup:

    1. Only one Content Library.
    2. All installs with DIM, pointed to the one Content Library above.

OF the three files that throwing out the error messages, DIM installed these files into data/3_0 folder, shown below:

    /data/3_0/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/maps/uv.dsv
    /data/3_0/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/uvs/default.dsv
    /data/3_0/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape/geometry.dso

What's odd is that the first two error messages, it's not looking in the data/3_0 folder (not sure what's up with that) and it's also not finding the geometry.dso file which is exactly where it should be looking. The latter leads me to believe your installed files for this product not in the data folders in your two content library paths, or path(s) are not mapped to Daz Studio.

Are you installing with DIM or manually?

Edit: Here is what viewport for the Night preset looks like:

Bejaymac and Lindsey, sorry for the late reply, I just saw this now.

Everything is installed using DIM, (which is great cause I'm a total computard)

I just searched for the three files and they're located in:

    C/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ3D Library/data/3_0/pPlane(12pog00)1/shape

So does that mean I have the files but they're in the wrong place? btw ray of dreams day and night both work fine, just rain is the problem.

Odd.. The rain preset loads fine for me. I've attached the DIM installer info.
