Do what, have a vertical split with different colours on each half? There would be two approaches - the simplest would be to have a map with different colours for each area of the figure, for which would need the UV template (the legs and arms would be easy, the head and torso might be a bit fiddlier) then apply those to the Base colour (or Fiffuse Colour if using 3Delight) through the Surfaces pane). That would involve several maps as they are separated by body part. An alternative option would be to use the Geometry Editor tool to create new surface groups for one side, then you could just change the Base/Diffuse colour without needing special maps (though if you wanted to aply existing materials on top you'd have to do some copying and pasting from the remains of the original surface groups to the new surface groups). Which do you feel more comfortable with - editing/creating (simple) maps following an outline, or selecting polygons on the model? The map approach is more certain - I'm not sure there is a line straight down the middle of the model and if not there might be areas that couldn't be split cleanly.
Of course an even simpler method would be two renders, one one colour and the other another, layer them on top of each other in an image editor, and ask out/erase half of the top layer.
Here's an example using the maps method:
