Boyd likes to live dangerously. As illustrated by this specific pose. laugh This is not the worst of his food-related offenses though. He also drinks whipped cream from the can, and sneaks food off Owen's plate to taste.

I've been wanting to use Maclean's grocery set for sometime for food-specific poses. So here is my chance. Since its my day off.

I am looking for a milk carton that opens though. If you see a prop that has this morph let me know. I may at last have a use for the Deviney's milk brushes and layer styles....

Since so many nowadays have one of those spout things instead, could you parent a small cylinder to the carton and angle the carton so you can't see little arrow with "open" beside it?

Some kitbashing and an experiment adding a cartoon character to the OOTS intimates product as a texture. Owen is wearing the Ready for Bed Genesis 8 female PJ bottoms.

    Adorable! So pretty in pink.

Thanks! Boyd loves cartoon characters, especially superman and unicorns.

Pretending to be a farmhand seems like a good idea to fugitive outlaw Pace aka Lorenzo, but he would really like to get to know Elijah better.

I love the mood here, beautiful scene, those outfits are terrific, and the sheep are looking nice and shaggy.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

That last one, the sheep looks great!

  • Phoenix1966Phoenix1966 Posts: 1,682

You've definitely improved the default sheep's look in that last one!

Thanks folks, Yeah, I just wish I could make it softer. I think I  we will be returning to cows For the sake of my sanity. But I will add the sheep pose for those go want the pain      Fun of playing with it.

The apocalypse has been averted... Apparently there is a orange juice model in Maclean's grocery 2 set with a removable lid that works just fine.  I can use a small primative to make an orange juice stream and color it with the PBS food shaders from volume 2.

If only Sam & Dean knew it was that easy...

I fogot to add in the first milk pose, I loved the way you had him clutching several snacks. Very realistic.

Thanks. You may see more from that soon. wink

I really thing g8 has a weird neck bend. even using pose controls the back of the neck can look odd. Plus the way the arm bends forward. Can get weird fast.

So I am curious. Does anyone have this Wetfx decal kit? https://www.daz3d.com/wetfx-decal--shader-kit How do you see where the decals are?. I clicked on Boyd. Clicked the decal, and such, but how do you find where it loads? And where does it apply? Hmm. I think as soon as I'm done wit the next render, I'll have to load a naked basemale and figure it out. maybe its somewhere under his clothing.

I don't have that one, but I have a different set. Here is a thread that might have useful information.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good for lack of better word, curved primative 'spout' morph.

I think many of the pourable products without lids by Maclean, could use a little primative to make the drink actually pour out. I used a cylinder, but I think a slightly curvy one might be better. Its easy enough to reduce it in size and parent to the hole of the drink in question.

I am not a modeller, my modeling skills... are lacking.

The product doesn't have a readme on how its used I'm disappointed to say. It does include a premade decal that I can't seem to make visible no matter what I apply to it form the included morpsh.  I'm clearly doing something wrong.

    Everyday Tea shows liquid pouring.

Ah, we shall see if I can do something wtith that. Thanks!

Liquid Pack might have something you could use.

Is there a commercial thread for it? If not, send a PM to KindredArts. He is very helpful. Decals are a feature built into Daz Studio, but I haven't found much documentation on them from Daz. You won't see it until you render/Iray preview. Did you try that?

Iray Decal Kit has a short User Guide, but it is helpful. I'm surprised that the WetFX doesn't have a User Guide. Maybe KA would send the Iray Decal Kit User Guide to you.

ah,I see what I did wrong. They are very light. When first applied they go on about the area where the naval is. You must move them up to the face. But even so, they are clear liquid so hard to see.

you must also only use the y-tran to move them up and down.

You're making wonderful poses/pose sets!  The drinking from a milk carton one is a must have, it made me laugh.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,651

Thanks... Yeah, it is from an upcoming Boyd and Owen themed pose  release called My Man. It involves all the funny and quirky things the guys do together and apart both good and bad habits both sweet, quirky and annoying just as life should be.

But I got to finish the cowboys and cars first.

I like the prop- but it poses a slight technical difficulty....It doesn't scale and thus there is painful impalement through the chin when used.

Something like this, but a bit shorter and a touch wider...would be perfect.

The Geometry Editor could fix that in no time, I would think. Select the polygons you don't want to see, set them to hidden and then delete the hidden polygons.

Why do you say it won't scale. Is scale hidden? Look for it in hidden properties and dial it.

Y-scale kind of makes it really thin for some reason. Its a bit small already... IT needs to be shorter and stumpier. Yeah, I can fix it for me, but was hoping others might be able to use it...So was looking for something I could include a pose for.

So, as far as cowboys poses goes, we are  up to 9 or 10. I cut the saddle one, since I wasn't feeling it.... Maybe I will do a saddle pose in the expansion.

I am somewhat proud of my lantern pose, most especially since I managed to do the reins halfway decently. They do clip the hat a bit, but there isn't much I can do there....

I could use a waterskin type water bottle. I know I own one, but I can't seem to locate it. If anyone has seen an old-fashioned water/canteen, I'd appreciate the tip on where it is.
