How to save the surface settings made by the geometry editor
The white stripes on these boots were made by adding them to the surface through geometry. But what should I do to save these white stripes, and then they can be used directly next time. I try to save as metrial present. But only Can save the texture of the boots. There is no way to save these white stripes. What should I do? You can save the boots as a scene subset or a support asset. There are some tips here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/42088/tutorial-adding-surfaces-in-ds-with-the-geometry-editor-tool/p1
A Wearables preset should also work - essentially if you are working with a modified version of the boots you need something that will save, and load, the model not just settings. Be aware that if the boots are still the original asset, just modified, then a scene can contain only one version of them - you can't have the striped version and the version with the original surface groups (you could, of course, give the stripe the same materials as the rest to hide it).
