How to find the crash report to submit

I have been working on a scene in Daz Studio 64-bit version - pretty much there. So I went to 32-bit version to do some lip sync - whenever I load it, it crashes. So I followed the instructions to generate a crash report. When I pressed the "save" button nothing seemed to happen - or maybe it did, but I've no idea what.

Reading elsewhere in forum posts it seems there is meant to be a ZIP file to submit - but I can't find it.

Can someone give me some pointers please as to how to find and submit this crash report file?

A couple of other bits of information, which may be related (or not):

1) I just purchased animate2 today, and I;ve been playing with saving aniblocks i've created.

2) Starting Daz Studio now takes an age to start - it sits on the small logo dialog for ages (1 min 50 sec) with the logging in message in the bottom status bar. It does this on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but has only been doing this since the crash in the 32-bit version. This is a real pain! (Update: DIM also takes ages to login. I've done an internet speed test & that is fine - is there an issue with the servers?)

3) If I reduce the scene in the 64-bit version, it will load in the 32-bit version. So this is my workaround (I only need the lip sync in close-up, at which point I can delete a large part of the scene). (But I'm not running out of memory - when loaded in the 64-bit version I still have over 20G of free RAM). Is it possibly the case the 32-bit version can only handle a smaller scene size?

The crash report will be in your Documents folder, with a name like DAZStudio_error_report_200503-024339.zip (the date and time of the crash).  Go to https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new ; to submit it.

The 32-bit version can only access 4GB of RAM.

  • The 4GB limit probably explains it. I can't find the ZIP file though (not that it matters now, as the memory limit would seem to explain things).

Still suffering slow start-up (Studio & DIM) - is it just me?

  • Slow start up problem has gone away - I assume there was a temporary issue with the servers
