Looking for good animators

I'm looking for some really good animators to help out on a project. I have a client that needs a lot of martial arts animations. I've used some of the ones on here and it's a good start but if all goes well they will be needing a ton of different ones, and we need a consistent reliable animator to partner with. We'll also be needing animations for other similar projects with different clients and for things other than martial arts. If you're capable and interested please let me know.

Thanks,

You never stated how you wanted your animation, did you need pre made motions files like aniblocks or a animations pre-set? or a complete rendered out animated scene?  it sounds like your requesting stuff like aniblocks & pre-sets. In that case you might try posting your request on fiverr lots of Freelancers there.    https://www.fiverr.com/    some animators there make animation pre-sets.   Though my experience has been not many animators like to sell their motions files though. unless its product based, sold to the general public, for greater compensation for the work. . its just to much work involved for the amount you get compensated for single individual projects.

I make animations for people but they are completed rendered out scenes.   The martial art animation sequences & aniblocks i create are for my own Karate Girl animations series.

But i would check out fiverr  you might have some luck there

you might need to look outside the DAZ community

I know someone on facebook into martial arts and he sees so much wrong with the animations sold here.

Sure they are good for fun videos but on a technical level not so accurate apparently as you have observed.

I of course have no idea about such stuff

sword fights another thing that is often too "Hollywood " they hit each other's swords instead of trying to hit the opponent

there is a wealth of mocap stuff out there but getting it into DAZ studio is always the challenge

someone partially solved a big issue I have with hip translation and foot sliding  on BVH imports by pointing out the hip node needs to be moved down to 0,0,0 using the rigging (bowtie) tool pulling the little red and green gizmos recently which was a huge help.

Reallusion has a wealth of animations for iClone far beyond anything DAZ has but again I find getting them into DAZ studio not always giving the same results

  • Sorry for the late reply. I was expecting to get some kind of notification that I have replies but didn't get any. I finally decided to find my post and check.

Ivy, to answer your question I'm looking for animations that I can use in both Daz (mainly for rendering images)  and export out as FBX files for use in Unity. I'll try Fiverr, thanks.

WendyLuvsCatz, thank you for your reply. I'm very interested in the hip translation and foot sliding fix you mentioned, but I can't quite translate what you said using my limited knowledge of Daz. I've done a lot of animations in Poser but new to Daz (and frustrated with Daz IK not seeming to be as good as Poser).

One thing I was considering is having videos of varioius techniques (front and side) sent to an animator and they would manually make the animation based on the video. I know it's a tedious amount of work but I think it could work.
