Weird lines on skin texture

Hello fellow 3D artists!

I'm a total newbie to this 3D stuff, I'm still learning everyday.

My question is that when i use Skin Builder for Genesis 8 and apply skin detail it adds up black lines on the texture around her shoulder and back (Please see attached image). It also appears in the final render image. I got no idea whats causing that, is there any fix for it?

Thanks smiley

Those are seams. They should not be visible. Check that the correct uv maps are in play.

  • I did checked and made sure correct UV maps are applied, still I'll recheck and re-apply once more after I get back home.

    Thank You! smiley

I checked it, the problem is within the Skin builder, It seems to draw a line around the edges of the skin texture when generating fine skin details. Other skin options work fine.

    Yikes! The nudity!

Anyhow, it's definitely UV borders you're seeing there though the one that seems to be vertical across the back is an odd one. I'm going to take a shot and say those are the wrong textures for that UV set.

EDIT: You were using skin builder, so with that said the textures really do seem like they are not lining up with the UV map so that may have something to do with it.

If using the right UV maps and texture for the figure and it's the Skin Builder causing the issue, then it might be a good idea to put in a ticket to Customer Service about the matter. Maybe they know why it's doing that. Also if this was purchased inside of 30 days, it could be returned.
