How to Combine 2 figures?

Hi again ^_^

How would I combine the Eastern Dragon with a Poser feathered serpent to get a feathered serpent with legs?

I have managed to make a couple hybrids already. The latest was Squee Dragon (so cute!! :D ) with the Milcat (also cute!!) I fumbled around until I got the right parenting, then made everything on the Milcat invisible except the face. And after a little tweaking I got a cat-faced Squee who is perfectly posable!

So I think I do have the general idea. But I can't seem to parent the Eastern Dragon to the Poser snake correctly. The zeroed figures will hold together when rotated and translated, but the snake cannot be posed without the two coming apart. Maybe I forgot how to do something since my Squee project... ??? I need the Eastern dragon to conform to the snake's movements.

Helpful hints anyone...?

    I do not think parenting is going to be much help here. The Figures have very different bone rigs. I would just go with some very careful posing and hiding of parts as needed.

    I'm thinking the same this morning. Even though the shapes look so similar, I don't see a way to get the bones to match up. :P
