Strange glow using M6 and Genesis 2 gens

Hey guys,

So I'm using the M6 model (Michael) and trying to fit the genesis 2 gens to him .. I assume there's no actual M6 gens cos they weren't in the package?? Not sure .. anyways, the Genesis 2 gens fit the Genesis model VERY well .. until I apply the M6 and then they no longer suit the contours of my characters body.

Anyways, I've gotten round that fairly well but now when I've applied Nevio skin to my M6 character it all looks great .. except there's this weird orange glow coming from his lower abdomen .. right where the gens (hip) part would be .. I've had to push the gens further into his body because there's no way to actually blend the fit part to him without it being obvious. and I can't (mute or make the part invisible) because it takes a portion of the gens with it. Looks like his lower belly is glowing?

So .. what the hell is the glow about :P

I surmised it might be because of the lighting reflecting badly but then there's hardly any light and the reflections on the gens are all but turned off.

I'm a bit disappointed that I can't just apply the philip body textures to M6 without it screwing everything up. It'll change most of the textures but not his face or the thighs .. but it changes everything else?! Seems you've have to have everything or nothing .. which I don't think is what DAZ intended so that brings me back to this.

I'd like my character to look all sweaty ... used to be able to do that with just applying philips specular thingy .. that worked nicely on Genesis. :sigh: .. why can't I just get a damn picture done instead of fighting with the software!

Anyways, would appreciate any insight into the 'glow' problem. I've included a portion of a pic so you can see for yourself.

Also If anyone can tell me how I make a body look sweaty .. manually .. I'd appreciate that. Since the automatic way I had no longer works.

Image removed. Please see the ToS Bullet point #1 in both General and Gallery sections.

Okay .. image got removed .. apparently seeing a digital torso with a bit of digital gens isn't cool. Fair enough .. just wanted to highlight the 'glow' problem??

The M6 Pro bundle comes with the Gens, they should GeoGraph properly with no need to adjust a single thing. And many texture sets come with Gen textures. You need to use the same set of textures on them as was used on the Figure. So if a texture set does not come with gen textures you may end up with two different shaders in use. I have just tested the M6 pro set to see what your issue might be. I'm no help as every thing worked as it should. One figure, its gens, one texture and its gens. They applied fine, they textured fine, they rendered fine even in a UberEnviro lighting set up. I can not see any issue.

Sorry I'm not able to help.

Yes I don't seem to have a complete set of textures .. or I haven't found them yet. I have one piece or another. If I use Nevio all over .. (Nevio All) I get that strange glow problem .. guess that's the texture. It's * annoying to say the least .. just want to a good texture to use all over And there doesn't seem to be any way to blend gens into the M6 body.

Anyways, perhaps i just haven't installed something right, or am missing the menu option.

    Thanks for responding :D

some of the thumbnails are the shaders only, adding sss etc. make sure you have the gens selected when applying the presets sss = glow

i've been up all night trying gamma settings, but it only seems to make him redder. >.<</p>
