Why do I sometimes have to re-install DIM?

Sometimes (like with today's purchase), my new products won't download, and a message in red text appears on the web page telling me I need to have the latest version of DIM installed, which I already do. But it won't download & install anything until I re-install the same version of DIM that I already have; then everything works fine.

Is this a problem with DIM, or my computer? It seems odd that I'll need to install the 'latest' version of DIM, when it's the same one that is already installed.

    Does it work if you open DIM and try to download without going from the web page?

    Nope. One other bit of weirdness; I can only download 1 item at a time. DIM crashes when it reaches the next item, and has to be restarted. It probably won't do this again for a few weeks, but work normally. Then, when I'm not expecting it, it acts weird again. I may need to get an old priest and a young priest... :bug:

    What is your current DIM version, and OS?
