Powerpose for G8 Missing [Solved]

I've had some issues with DIM a couple weeks ago and had ended up needing to uninstall and reinstall quite a few things. Since then I have lost the ability to use Powerpose with the Heads/Faces of Genesis 8 characters (both G8F and G8M). The template or something seems to be missing:

I've tried uninstalling Genesis 8 Essentials via DIM and then reinstalling but that doesn't fix the issue. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Hi Diva. I checked my power pose set up.   try this trick.  try installing your Genesis 8 Starter Essentials manually. download to desk top and cut and paste the file into your daz content folder  that should over right your dim  file-copy  that should correct it

download manually in your product library https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files use Genesis 8 Starter Essentials as your search fliter.  that help you find all the files you need to get back all your orignal files

good luck  I hope that helps

    it should look like this

Bless you, @Ivy !! That did the trick!

I downloaded the "Genesis 8 Female Powerpose Templates" and the "Genesis 8 Male PowerPose Templates". I looked at the files I downloaded manually vs the files that DIM installed and sure enough, there was a file that wasn't in the DIM installed files. With the manual download of the Powerpose Templates I could see there was a file that was supposed to be in data >> DAZ 3D >> Genesis 8 >> Female >> Tools called "PowerPose". That file was missing from my content library. Very weird. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials three times and for some reason, it never installed those Powerpose Templates. Very strange.

Installing those files manually did the trick. Thank you very much for the recommendation of a manual install, Ivy! I'm very happy to have Powerpose back!

I am glad thats worked out for you. One of the good things about manual install is you can open the zip file to peek into to see the file structure . it a great way to trouble shoot install problems

Hi There! Where did you manage to download these templates (male + female) from? I sure cannot find anything anywhere on the internet (that isn't some scam/virus-ridden dodgy-ass website). Specially NOT on the DAZ store, where one would have thought one might have a better chance at finding DAZ products?? I have sent DAZ a help request like 100000000 times, no answer.... Still stuck with no power poser controls...

So, I'd love to try manually installing these power pose files, but where can I find them?

Thank you very much in advance!

They are in your Product Library like everything you have ever bought or had for free from the DAZ store.

Left Click at the 'Green Man' on the upper right corner of this web page, you see gog wheels next to 'My Account', go there and click at the 'Product Library' and search for 'Essentials' in the 'Filter' box.

  • Thanks so much for this thread.  My powerpose face settings were also nowhere to be found, and reinstalling didn't help.  I have manually downloaded the files.  Can you tell me where I should put them on the mac, assuming the default installation.  I tried to put them into the data section of my own content base, but that didn't work.
