4-Layer Uber shader

Is anyone talking about this and when did it get added? Texture creators could really get, well, creative with all those layers. I certainly hope it's supported!

For anyone who also hadn't noticed this, it should be in your basic DAZ Uber shader set.

4 layer uber seems kind of limited.

this one seems a lot better https://www.daz3d.com/muelsfell-multilayer-iray-terrain-shader

It was added to the Default Resources package sometime last summer, to little or no fanfare.

There was some chatter about it a few months ago, but nothing came of it: how do you use the 4-layer Uber PBR MDR shader

Thanks. I don't know, four layers seems more than enough for anything that isn't complicated terrain, and I don't know why we're not using this instead of LIE.  LIE overlays do not undo easily and they're quite slow to apply.

It looks interesting. I wonder if anyone has done any experimenting with it.

hehe, I tried using it to convert a 3delight surface recently and got scared, this needs some time dedicated to it to go into the details I guess. One day I'll try again
