How can I load content in view of the camera?

Searched but could not find any reference to this. Some 3d softwares will load the model you are currently wishing to load in view of the camera so you do not have to go hunting for it. Is it possible to set DS to do this? In larger scenes it's a pain to always have it load at the center of the scene If I am working far from it.

An alternate work flow to easily get models in front of my current camera would work probably just as well.

Thanks

When loading fro the Content Library or Smart Content, hold down the 'Alt' key while dragging the item into the viewport.

You will see a red and yellow target, when the target is where you want the item, release the mouse button.

You can also use the View Frame button at the top of the viewport, it looks like a hollow square with a plus sign in the centre. It will frame any item currently selected in the viewport or Scene pane.

The Target load as Jimmy just said is your Friend, just keep in mind the items still load at the World plane setting, so they may be UNDER things like grounds that are above the world plane, or even inside things. The Target is always on the plane and that can not be changed.

EDIT: For Target load it is CLICK hold and Hold Alt and then DRAG to Viewport. The item loads at Target when either is no longer held down, the Alt key or the mouse key.
