what does this mean (see pic) -- did something get installed wrong?

I'm not sure if this is normal, I don't remember seeing this before recently, maybe a few days ago. Or maybe I just never noticed it before. Not sure if I installed something that is causing this condition or i made some change to some global setting that is causing it. I'm referring to the red sliders that are inoperable, i get this with all figures now it seems. If I click on general, under the figure in parameters, its back to normal though.

Could be. It means that there are two parameters with the same name somewhere further down. Could you expand the tree structure under Giselle 6 to get a look at what's hiding in there? Is there anything else in the scene parented or fit to Giselle 6?
If Consolidate Preferences is on, identical controller names will be grouped like that. It might be a problem, or not. Right-click on the Parameters tab and go to Preferences and uncheck Consolidate Properties. This will list each of the duplicates separately so that you can find where they are individually. If they are both under General ->Transforms->Rotation, it could be a problem.
Ok, i figured out what caused it. I had installed a product from Renderosity called "Headless" which is for Genesis 2 Male and Genesis 2 Female and allows you to fake a beheading, which I needed for a virtual novel I'm working on. (the problem was only with these figures, not with G1, G3 or G8 figs.) Once I uninstalled it the problem went away. I contacted the vendor over there, and he was quick to resolve the issue, and has submttted an update to Rendo for the product. So this thread can be closed.
