Cannot launch multiple instance of Daz Studio anymore

This used to work on my machine, but apparently one of the more recent updates to 4.12 changed that. I could just click and launch another instance of the application, but now nothing happens anymore (except for apparently bringing the already running instance to the foreground).
Is this an intentional change or a bug? And either way, is there a way around it?

It's an intentional change. Launching multiple instances that way could cause problems because they ended up "sharing" some technical files and folders (for example closing one instance could lead to suppression of temp files used by another).
It's still possible to launch multiple instances, just not directly. There are instructions there: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/5112696/#Comment_5112696
and one user posted powershell scripts to do it easily here: ttps://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/5620181/#Comment_5620181
I see, but still I wish the devs would find a better way to handle potential issues with concurrent instances. Not that I have ever experienced any myself so far. Right now a Fluidos simulation is blocking the one instance of Daz Studio I have running on this machine, and I really want to be able to work on other scenes before it completes (in approximately 4 days).
Thanks for the info! I will try those instructions later today.
I also had no issues before, but preventing multiple instances IS an issue for me.
Problem solved. Using this command line parameter did the trick:
