One of my most used actions in Daz is to click on a item in the scene window and then CTRL-Shift-A to focus and aim the camera on that object ..
Now I've upgraded to 4.12.1.117 .. that doesn't seem to work anymore .. well .. it does .. but it doesn't ..
SOMETIMES it works as it did before .. yet sometimes - and I've not worked out the reasons as to why - sometimes, it selects all objects in the scene instead .,.
There doesn't seem ryhme or reasons to it .. I automatically out of habit hit CTRL-Shift-A .. and sometimes it does exactly what I've had it do for years .. sometimes it just selects all items in the scene and no amount of pressing will get it to target what I want it to targer.
I've gone into Window>Workspace>Customize and the keyboard shortcuts .. CTRL-Shift-A is assigned to Aim At Target (as it should be and as been for years) and Select All doesn't have a shortcut .. I figured I'd redo the shortcut thinking it had got messed up somewhere ..
But no .. it still sometimes does Aim At Target .. and sometimes Selects All in the scene ..
Anyone know what the hells going on??
Thx in advance

I would suspect this is the same issue as causes the doubling-up of actions like ctrl R for render and ctrl s for save - you might try the Public Build (beta) for now, but until there is a release with a fix it is probably going to be necessary to use the widget at top-right of the Viewport for aim.
CTRL-A is the shortcut for select all, CTRL-SHIFT-A is the shortcut for pointing the camera. Is it at all possible that your shift key could be faulty?
So this is something that's a known problem, Richard?
Chris : No the SHIFT key works fine .. each Capital in this post is done with the SHIFT key I use along with CTRL and A .. As I mentioned in the OP - it's only something that started a few days back when I updated to 4.12.1.117
I've had issues with this shortcut in the past. Specifically when it's used with a light in a saved scene. On re-opening the scene, the aim/orbit is reset back to default. That may be understandable behaviour, but it's annoying to continually have to redo it when positioning lights in large scenes.
But apart from that minor rant, I've definitely noticed iffy Aim At behaviour in the new release. I was too busy to pay much attention at the time, but your post has reminded me that on quite a few occasions, I've had to repeat the action several times to get it to work.
