View the contents/settings of a render preset file?

[View the contents/settings of a render preset file?] As an example, I have an environment that I'm currently using and the author supplies 26 iray render presets to choose from. Each one is just named "iray preset 1", "iray preset 2" etc so there's no indication as to what the difference is between each one other than the included thumbnails.

Is there a way to essentially preview what each file does without applying each individual one and then flicking through the settings panes? I was naive enough to think that they would be something along the lines of an xml file that I could open with a text editor but I was very wrong there.

Does anybody know if it's possible to see this information somehow?

Thanks

  • You could unzip (7z) the *.dsa file, then read the contents with a txt editor, well, except the pix of course.
