How do get rid of aspect ratio bounding box

I've asked this question before and it was answered. I just can't find the answer in a Google search this time. I loaded a prop (scene), and got this bounding box. I can't get rid of it. Would someone please post a screenshot showing what I click on to bring up the necessary settings to fix this problem? This isn't even my chosen workspace layout. I just got it this wa so I could make a screenshot.

If you haven't set your camera yet, then go to the render settings - general - dimension preset global and set it to active. There are probably other ways, but this is what works for me.

Virtual_World, bless you! I got it fixed, and saved it as a workspace layout! Now it's time to get this tired old body to bed.

Thanks again. Unfortunately I might be taking some time off. I'm experiencing some health concerns that apparently defy my doctor's ability to identify. I've finally decided I can't go grocery shopping any more. I thought I wa going to need an ambulance the last time I went out. I thought about that cart load of groceries...inclluding all that ice cream.... I held on. I spent over $500 in the past few months on DAZ content. That's more than I'd spent in several years. I wanted to revive my artistic spirit. Unfortunately, I keep running into stumbling blocks with various content problems. It's hard for me to stay awake, think, or walk.

Maybe it's time to rest for awhile.

You need to close the Shader Mixer and Shader Builder tabs/panes to have a complete view of your Viewport.

I understand the grocery shopping dilemma.  I have to walk two and a half blocks to our little town's grocery store.  By time I've come to the end of the block-and-a-half I'm exhausted and have to stop and deep breathe for a while before continuing the journey.  Shopping is OK because I stop now and then and look at the shelves and I get to lean on the cart handle.  But the carrying of two bags of groceries (cloth bags with handles) home is a real ordeal.  By time I've reached the end of the 1st block I have to sit on the steps of one of the businesses and deep breathe and recoup my energy.  Then the last block and a half is mostly downhill and if I keep a steady pace can get to the bottom of my driveway where I again have to stop, deep breathe, and steel myself for the 60 foot journey up the slightly inclined rocky driveway and the three steps onto the porch.  Then by time I've unloaded & stocked my two bags I'm completely covered in sweat, worn out and collapse into my chair and vegetate for the rest of the day.  It's not that I'm too heavy, I've actually been losing weight and am quite satisfied with that progress.  It's that my heart arythmia skips a beat often and my medicine causes weaker pumping to lessen the atrial fibrulations, so I get less oxygen from my lungs.  I've tried getting more exercise but compare it to eating bigger spoonfuls of poison.  It's almost time for a pacemaker.  Advice to the youngsters, don't get old.  The discount at the movies isn't worth the rest of the problems.frown (And besides, who goes to the movies anymore?)

They're supposed to be opening some drive-ins in our area soon.  Best way to offer some vehicular social distancing at the movies.

jestsmart, I don't even use that layout. I was just trying to get a screenshot.... It's a dumb explanation...but true. laugh

LeatherGryphon, have you tried getting one of those shopping carts... I got a good one from Amazon, I really only use it for laundry. It has 4 wheels, an extra storage area in the back. It even came with a liner. By the way, I am 70 years old, how old are you?

FirstBastion! Hi! I love your stuff. I played with the Last Chance Gas station awhile ago. You have so many great camera views etc. I started playing with the camera angles, but got tired. I can't last long these days. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure where you live, but grocery delivery is pretty common these days.  I use Instacart, a national service that covers all of the major grocery store chains except WalMart and Whole Foods, which are delivered by Walmart and Amazon, as well as a couple of the big pharmacy and liquor store chains, Petco, Costco, Sam's, Big Lots, and Target.  I think I've been in an actual grocery store maybe 6 times in the past two years...

I do.  I'm usually fine with waiting for comedies and dramas, but some of the big-buget spectaculars just don't have the same oomph on smaller screens.  Then again, I also have one of the AMC A-List memberships - $14.95 a month and I can see up to three films a week without charge, even the big Imax releases.  I have feeling that offer may go away when they eventually reopen the theaters, but it's a heck of a deal if you're a movie junkie.

I've considered getting a little red wagon like from the '40s or '50s or one of those wooden ones with removable red wooden picket fence sides.enlightened  But, yeah, I know that a cart of some sort would help.  A powered one would help a lot,yes but the problem with carts (powered or otherwise) is that I have no place to store them and they're almost useless in the winter.

I'm 71 and 199/366ths years old.  And I do have a two-wheeled folding laundry cart, that I can take on the bus with me when I make a trip to the laundromat.  The problem with that is that right after it gets emptied of smelly clothes, it starts getting filled up again with more smelly clothes.   Go figure.surprise  I could get another one but that would be logical and what would I have left to complain about.sad

OH goodness - I'm sorry that you're struggling with your health lately.

Try and move around more - I know it sounds unintuitive and backwards but moving more can actually give you more energy. Take care of yourself, Ron. heart

That's what my cardiologist tells me but it is scary when your heart starts pounding when you walk up a hill. You have to wonder whether that poor old heart can take it.

Anyhow - I also didn't know about hiding the aspect bounding box so I've now learnt a good tip.

I get easily weak and exhausted. I had a bunch of tests done, and saw a cardiologist. He said he couldn't explain why I felt that way. We agreed it might be due to massive anxiety or panic attacks. The effect on my lifestyle is the same. I can't do much of anything including sweeping or washing dishes. I force myself to do laundry because I can't stand being stinky. I change all my clothes every day.

I live about 30 miles from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota). That means I miss out on many deliveries. Fortunately both Pizza Hut and Dominoes deliver! My favorite sandwich shop delivers! I order a lot of non-perishable food through Amazon! Last time I spent about $500 on Hormel Compleats meals! There was so much food piled on the kitchen counter that it tripped my claustrophobia off!

I usually get about $16 a month in "Food Stamps." That usually qualifies for a short trip to the grocery store every month. This month I got over $200. I need to go to a store to use Food Stamps. I went a couple days ago, and really thought I was gonna die. But I couldn't bear losing all that food! I still have more money left. But I don't know when I will try going again. We do have a Senior Volunteer program. I may need to do some paperwork and pay a fee to get someone to shop for me.

  • Online shopping has been an immense help for sure. I actually order things like dried fruits, dry beans, split peas, quinoa, dried seasonings, tinned sardines, tuna fish packets, hunters sausage through Amazon.
(I do like those Hormel Compleats, though. I just try to avoid the complete packaged meals since I have so much more time at home.)

We use Instacart now, although it costs to do so (And I'm sure it's not everywhere).
Having someone else do the shopping is really really helpful. The time savings. Avoiding other people (LOL). Just avoiding the Costco line is great.

Also, I love my instant pot.
Turns all the leftovers into soup/stew the next day, combined with my dry ingredients (beans, split peas, etc). A great time saver for me. Make a roast one day, use the leftovers in the soup/stewpot the next day.

The Blurst of Times, I just love your name! I live in a small town. Many of those delivery services are not available here. The same goes for Uber and the other such services. I do have one Ride Share (I call it a taxi) service, and a bus service where you can reserve a ride. You can't take a lot of groceries on the bus.

OK, here is a continuation of the bounding box problem. Now I get Tiny Renders! The renders come out at 300 pixels wide, and 168 pixels in height! I probably messed up a setting when I was floudering about the other night. Help?!

Just to point out the obvious, you haven't changed anything in the Render Settings pane/tab? (If you don't have it, look under "Window -> Panes/Tabs".)

The only place I know of that affects image dimensions would be under the Render Settings -> General tab. You can change the dimensions of the render (like Widescreen 16:9 versus a letter-sized 17:22 aspect ratio) and the dimensions in Pixels.

I usually flip between Letter-sized, Square, and Widescreen, myself.

Just make sure that you don't mess up and type the longer dimension into the wrong box, I did that when I was trying to make a 4k background for my desktop, I wound up with an almost 8k desktop... looks nice though lol.

TheBlurstofTimes. I just looked. The pixel size was set to the same dimensions as the rendered image... I probably made that mistake when fumbling about. I reset the dimension preset to widescreen. Problem solved!
