Reminder: There are things in the store other than Daz products

Friendly reminder to be sure you know what you're buying...

https://www.daz3d.com/obj-ripped-tiny-jeans-shorts

For example, these are an OBJ which works in DAZ Studio [Edited] but is a static shape, not a wearable.

I want to remind folks that the DAZ store has things that are NOT designed DAZ Studio [Edited] and will not work as you expect.

It's easy to forget that when you're browsing because most things will work fine.

I have accidentally picked up Carerra items and things that only work for Poser because I was clicking too fast and not paying attention.

If you accidentally pick up something that doesn't work or you don't like, you can always return it! Daz is super cool about it but sometimes they get behind and it can take a few days.

Please don't add to the confusion by using Daz to mean Daz Studio.

I see! I didn't realize that was confusing. Your corrections are noted! Sorry about that...yes, of course.

A few other items I noticed in the sale pool are for Vue. So heads up on those too, they will not work in Daz Studio or any program {AFAIK} other than Vue. {and then as I recall one has to have a certain level of Vue - many reasons why I don't have Vue}.

Carrara is still a DAZ product

agree on Vue though, think they are trying to offload what they can there as Vue is being abandoned in droves due to reasons.

Actually, I am starting to use Vue again more often lately cheeky, albeit not the latest version..... I wouldn't say Vue is being abandoned, though it may be that it is not being sold as much anymore "due to reasons".... at least not to hobbyists like me....

Hmmm....I see that I have an issue with the "ripped jeans" product mentioned OP. I bought it, but it appears neither in the "ready to download" nor in the "installed" elements of the install manager. Where would I find it?  Am I supposed to download it manually?

According to the store page, it is either DazCentral or Manual Install, so.. no DIM.

I think they are manual only - Daz Central seems to be listed regardless of whether it works or not. The files are in OBJ only which DS can read from the Content Library pane, but isn't by default set up for (no default path for Other Formats), so a DIM/Connect/Central instalaler wouldn't make sense.
