I'm lost.. Can use someone's help...

Hi folks! hope all you people are doing fine during these times.  I find myself accupying my time doing some animation (which I'm very "NEW" to) and have gotten into some trouble. I recently purchased some software (Tropical Lagoon Scenary and Stone and Structures Licenses) for the DAZ 3D Studio.

I tried using the DAZ 3D Downloader Manager but I can't find the scenes or program files that goes with them in the DAZ 3D Studio. The manager says it's loaded but for the life of me, I can't find them.  So far it's cost me about $100 bucks and change so I BETTER learn this software soon:)

Any recomendations or advise on what to do next?  Any help is greatly appreciated

should be under environments.  Folder structure will be by vendor name Andrey Pestryakov.

There are some videos and tutorials that explain content navigation (cant be bothered to link them for you but should be googleable)

Is it possible that DIM is installing to a different folder to the one that DAZ 3D is looking at?

In DIM you can check the location of installed files by right clicking on an item under the Installed Items tab.

Set up the folders DAZ uses to point at the same location.  This is under Edit->Preferences->Content->Content Directory Manager.

Yeah, forum search is quite basic, but at least the paging works now.

  • Another thing you can do is go into the download manager and click the tab to see the installed files.  You can sort by name etc, but if it was installed recently, choose the option that shows the most recently installed.

Now, if you see Tropical Lagoon Scenary in the list, you can right click on it and you should have an option to view installed files.  Click that and another window opens with a list of things installed, and it shows you where you put them.  More likely than not, it is in the Environments folder somewhere.  If you click on one of the line items, Windows will open an explorer window to that file location.
