PSA - Install Manager/DIM - Document Your Paths

I've seen several new threads pop up over the past few days with people having issues with Install Manger. I just wanted to share a quick tip that might save you a big headache later. I highly recommend doing a couple of quick screen captures of your Install Manager/DIM pathways. That way if things get wonky you know exactly what paths to re-establish for DIM Downloads, Installation, and Applications.

If you have any custom pathways in Install Manager I highly recommend going into the Advanced Settings (click on the little gear icon in the upper right of Install Manager then select "Advanced Settings") and take screenshots of the different tabs: "Downloads", "Installation", and "Applications". That way if you ever have to re-setup those paths, you know exactly what goes where. With the issues being reported by a few people, it can likely save you a big headache later to make sure those pathways are documented.

I concur and would like to your Studio 'Content Directory Manager' Settings when they are fully opened up.

After I tried out Daz Central, and then uninstalled it, I found all my settings with new entries for the C: instead of F: It was a nightmare fixing my system.

    That's a great idea too.

Anyone who doesn't know how to do that: Open up Daz Studio, right-click on the Content Library tab, choose "Content Directory Manager", when the window pops up hit the little "+" next to each of the categories and take a screen capture.

Make sure you are saving your screen captures where you can find them again when you need them and name them something you won't accidentally delete. Mine all are named something like "Do Not Delete - Daz Content Pathing 1", etc.

Doing this screen capturing takes only a minute or two but it can literally save you hours of work later on.
