Character meshes and their compatibility

I'm mystified. There are the basic character meshes: G8F G8M, G3F, G3M, etcetera. And there are character meshes described as compatible with those basics but referencing a third character mesh as well. For example. Given G8F, there is a character mesh named Sahira 8 (which I presume requires G8F) and yet another named Tristana for Sahira 8. Now Tristana is listed as compatible with G8F. I don't know how to interpret that. Can I simply apply Tristana to G8F, which seems to be suggested, or must I have Sahira 8. In short, in order to use Tristana, must I first open G8F, apply Sahira 8, and then apply Tristana for Sahira 8, which also seems to be suggested?

Tristana's skins will work on G8F.  The morph requires Sahira to look exactly as in the promos, but it will work on just G8F without Sahira.  It will look a little different.

You don't have to take an extra step -- when you load Tristana it will set the Sahira dial as well (if you have it).
