I clicked "purchase" while offline, but now it's gone while I am online

I tried to purchase a freebie yesterday, but I didn't realize I was logged off at the time.  The worst thing is, it doesn't show in my cart, and I am unable to access the item at this time despite being online.  How do I cancel the purchase I mistakenly made "offline" so I can get the freebie again while I am online?

    try putting another item in the cart and see if the first one reappears,    You can then remove the unwanted item

    I tried it.  It didn't remove it.

    That method may work with wishlist items, but maybe not for items intended to be placed into the cart.
