Iray Preview issue

I had to reinstall Daz Studio and now have a problem with iray preview.

it stays white/gray like it usually is during loading, even though it has finished loading( the yellowish bar)

if I try to zoom in or out, then for a second it becomes colorful/with textures as it should be, but snaps back to grey.

edit:odd, it appears to be fine with other projects, just this one
