Help with converting a 3d absolut bottle model to use in Daz
![5200north](https://farnsworth-prod.uc.r.appspot.com/forums/uploads/userpics/785/nWE0ELBOTDHIJ.jpg)
i got a 3d model of an absolute bottle and i'm trying to convert it to use in daz stuido.
for the glass bottle i have a textures for a the lable, a mask for the lable, and a bump mask.
i have a clear glass shader for the bottle but i know there is a way to use the lable texture and use the mask to hide everything except the lettering as the bottle is clear.
i swear i have done this before but i'm lost.

The "cutout opacity" dial on the surfaces panel is what will hold the mask.
So, judging by images I found online, the "label" of this brand of vodka is printed directly onto the bottle.
I think the way I would handle that would be to apply a plain glass shader to the bottle itself, perhaps using the "mask bump" image in the displacement channel (you might need to up the subD level to get it to work in iray, or convert it to a normal map instead).
Then, for the writing, create a geometry shell around the bottle object (select the bottle and choose "Create > New Geometry Shell..." from the menu). Apply your first image to the diffuse channel. Invert the second image - so it has white writing on a black background - and apply it to cutout opacity.
You might need to go into the shell's parameters and reduce its Mesh Offset from 0.1 to something lower.
