New Computer and Daz Studio 3 Issues
I have recently bought a new desktop and have installed DS3 - I use this over DS4.6 because alot of my content is V4 and M4 and I find DS3 much easier to use.
My old harddrive (D) has been added to the new desktop. So DS3 is installed on the new C drive and through preferences I have it loading content from the old D drive. This means I can load custom characters I have created etc.
I do, however, have a number of issues:
1. Whilst I can load custom character with their textures, morphs, clothes etc I cannot load new Figured, Poses, Props etc in Daz3 - ie the content is not there to create new characters. scenes etc. I have DS3 pointed at the content and it clearly is there because if I load an old, saved Daz scene from the D drive it will load up fine.
2. I have used install manager to download all Daz products to the C drive. I have allowed it to download to a default directory. How do I get this to work in DS3 because right now non of this content is available in DS3.
3. How do I use install manager to manage content downloaded from Renderosity.
Thanks
Sam

A little more to add to this. I am also trying to use DS4.6 as well - my big issue here is the Smart Content. Can I re-sent this so that it shows content in terms of Figures, Poses, Props etc.
Again in Content Directory Manager, add "C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library" under BOTH DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats.
DAZ Install Manager only works for content from DAZ.
You can create your own categories (I create them outside of the Default category) to arrange items as you like. If you usually use DS3, you can create the categories there and then migrate them to DS4. Adamr001 has a great tutorial on using categories in DS3 as well as some for DS here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/306/
Thanks - that's answered my question. I had DS only set to find Daz content and not Poser. All working great now.
