Getting body jewelery to 'bump' rather than poke through.
Dear All,
I've been playing with Daz for a couple of weeks now and think I understand enough to get mildly frustrated :)
Meet Az Gulfimgol, my half-orc protagonist, she kindly offered to help me demonstrate my question...

1. How do I get objects to 'bump' under a piece of clothing? In this render specifically, how would I get the nipple rings to be under the jacket but still show as 'there's something underneath'. Also her nipples show through even without the rings... I need to take them off and then dial down her nipples. There must be a better way...
2. How do I get a DIY prop to show up in my smart content? The nipple rings in this render are just a couple of Daz studio primitives. I've grouped them for now but it's a pain to have to look for them 75 levels deep in my scene graph if i need to switch them on or off. It would be great if I can just use them as if they were a regular prop.
Gulfi and I greatly appreciate any help or tips you may have regarding the matter. Cheers!

Well, being realistic that's a tight and thick outfit so regardless of how could she was the outfit would squish the nipples back into the soft tissue of the breasts, not deform to accomodate them. However, in the time-honoured tradition of "it's not just eyes these will poke out" you could use a couple of dForms (Create>New DForm) to pull the suit out - in this case you could probably just adjust the field to enclose the target area and then translate the dForm (which is a child of the base) forward a bit; more complex situations might require using a weight map to paint the influence of the dForm in.
For items to show in Smart Content they need to be categorised and have the compatibility set - select the base human (well, half-orc) figure in the scene, find the rings in the Content Library pane, and drag them across into the desired category in Smart Content.
Thanx Richard - I'll give it all a try in my Daz session this evening :)
