It's DAZ's way of getting people to do less NVIATWAS and more NMIATWAS.

Well, I didn't have the Warrior King, so nice addition for me. Now I just need the texture expansion for it...

I got the bundles and the outfit and the textures so I got a $10 off DO, thanks Daz

Two things that today's bundle make me think of:
    1) I *DO* like that they are going back and including older products in bundles to make a more complete package - it's not like I *HAVE* anywhere near everything I want (much less everything I have considered).  DAZ used to not do that...
    2) However (ever notice, there is *always* a 'However'!), when you already own *multiple* items in a bundle (especially if they are some of the more expensive items in the bundle), the value of that bundle is far, far less - ANY bundle is going to have items you are 'meh' over, items you don't care for at all, and (hopefully) items you really like/want.  While the other 'banner bonus offers' are great and all (and they are), you really aren't going to sell me on buying at 25-ish% off when I already *own* about 50% of what I want from the bundle!

Not to be just a complainer, I offer a solution: Pro-rate bundles including older items if the (potential) buyer already owns 2+ based on total price (non sale) of bundled items compared to same prices of already owned products and multiply the resulting reduction to the sale price (do so in cart obviously - since that is where all such adjustment checks and computations take place) - then offer your banner ads and whatever as normal.  Then you still get the sale (or at least are much more LIKELY to) while not costing DAZ anything (because, let's face it - it is not like one of the PAs gets paid twice if someone buys a product of theirs that is in a bundle that that buyer also already owns - because we only own the license ONCE).  The buyer doesn't pay for something they don't 'get' and the seller(s) aren't out money from an otherwise lost sale.

And yes, I know - "But why don't you just buy the items you want instead of the bundle then"?  same reason you normally buy a bundle (as this can be said about ANY bundle even if all new products): better value and pick up some things you might not otherwise get (which helps support the PAs and DAZ to make the items you DO want - because, not even Stonemason or DZFire make products I want ALL of!).

One thing that has me really puzzled - why put Vernon in a ladieswear bundle?  Did someone forgot to include the male items and no one noticed, until it was too late and in the store.

I bought the bundle, but I think PA should stop to put high-heels on every kinds of shoes and to make unusable fantasy weapons. How this poor woman can stay in balance and fight with a sword half heavy as her in wearing high-heels ?

I just completed a graphic novel where I realized halfway through the climatic fight scene one of my female villains was running around in high heels. :D

Yea, and that's it. Bit there's 2 female outfits etc. Daz realised they missed something and offered free suit, which in my opinion is pointless because it's part of Edward 8 Pro bundle. It really seems like daz is focusing more on females again

This bundle, once again, is a joke. It should say genesis 8 female as compatibility. What do you get for males? Nothing.... Daz, freakin joke man.

You can have all the stupid high-heeled outfits.

Naw, I have stopped buying female content 2 years ago. I rarely buy a ything female related now, unless really well done. I statted focusing more on the male content, but I mostly collect freebies now, shop elsewhere or create stuff myself

If it's good enough for Kate Beckinsale in "Underworld," it's good enough for me.

$6.20?!  Vernon's listed as $7.30 for me.  I'm obviously on the wrong side of the SA border

Vernon's listed price of $7.30 is the normal 30% intro discount + 45% PC+ Member discount on DAZ Originals during the PC+ sale.

In addition, PC+ members receive a 15% discount on Debut/Still New Releases which drops him to $6.20.  Buy two Debut/Still New Releases and receive an additional 10% discount which drops his cost to $5.58.  Since you're a PC+ member, you should be receiving these two additional discounts which don't kick in until you cart the Debut/Still New Releases and see the discounts in your cart.

Perhaps it's an echo of the eternal complaint down through the ages.  "Sigh, you can't get good help these days".indecision

I bought the bundle yesterday. I didn't get a purple banner about the male outfit. But I see I already own the Edward Pro 8 bundle, so I already own the outfit.

  • fastbike1fastbike1 Posts: 4,078

This somehow stops a person from buying male outfits?? Many available.

Well, they just lost a sale from me. I have a serious dearth of male clothing and accessories in my library. This looked like a chance to at least pick up something. Not now...

  • So what if you have a purple banner to get it free...but you already own it.

You loose out, I'm pretty disgusted at the way this has been handled.

I would like some way to upgrade to a bundle as well. I have a number of items in the staff picks fantasy bundle but not the bundle itself. The big thing about the bundle is that you can pay once for the interactive license instead of paying for each item's interactive license separately.

ok i'm thinking in buy the bundle since with the platinum member stuff i can get a "lot of stuffs aswell" then before that someone can say me the "poly count of the outfits please??

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-shadow-guard-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-arvine-sword-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

https://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-weapons  also the poly count for each weapon and the shield.

for the peoples which had bought it what is the poly count of the outfit i means the "vertice count which is on the small info panel, for the peoples which don't know what i'm talking about here what i means:

and to be clear i'm talking about the "base value" because normally daz when reading a model his normally load and display his "high resolution value" which is bigger than the base, normally when that happens you have 2 value the high value then a / and the base value something like

1000/250 - 1000 is the high while 250 is the real base, if both are equals then its only have the base resolution here the exemple:

as you can see the whole "dress" is displaying 610.520/166.583, with the 610.520 being the high resolution and the 166.520 being the true value and is this one i want, then anyone which already bought if you can show me those value will help a lot.

Nope I just got a banner for an outfit I already have. I really feel this is the last straw here for me.

  • xyer0xyer0 Posts: 6,064

@scorpio What's wrong? What are the other straws? I don't think Daz is intentionally trying to antagonise you. Maybe this is just a misunderstanding on their part.

  • EllessarrEllessarr Posts: 1,395

ok i've ended buying it anyway, don't need anymore the poly count, and i also don't received the "extra $10" even already having the outfit and got a little disappointed with the bundle, yeah gonna be carefull now and close my pocket for now.

Like many here I just bought Vernon HD and have skipped on the Bundle offer. The price was good but overall it just wasn't enticing enough for me in its content... Well, I was somewhat enticed yesterday when buying it meant the 75% discount on Faveral was stackable with their 55% "Friend of the Sale" discount meaning MICK Bundle was coming down to $7.31 and the Modular Medieval Village at only $3.37 in cart... but I'm trying to put a stop to buying something I don't want to get things I do want in the Daz store... too much of a slippery slope! But, yeah, for me this felt more like a good offer for Faveral lovers rather than being about the PAs who contributed to the bundle...

  • ALLIEKATBLUEALLIEKATBLUE Posts: 2,977
Yes @scorpio. I would put in a ticket. Daz made an error on the male costume and corrected it after it was brought to their attention. They probably will correct this one for you

That Faveral sale was irresistible yesterday. 90% off made the price of admission well worth it.
