Hello !

I come from another license (Poser 11) I am a little confused on DAZ Studio. Can you help me ? :)

Intro :sorry for my english, i will try to add more information about my problem if i have not been very clear ..

I can't apply another pantyhose material, I'll explain: I installed RealPantyhose from Hameleon, I managed to save my character texture backup as Material Preset, but I don't know what to do next , I'm stuck in part 4 of the user manual :) I don't understand this part at all: "4) Working with pantyhose presets. First you should check your character about Normal maps." Can you explain this part to me more clearly? Learn how to work with pantyhose presets.

Thanks for your help !

    I do not have that product. If I am looking at the correct product page, the pantyhose are a "second skin" which means that the textures are being applied to the figure itself. {there is not a model of pantyhose}

    On the Surface Panel, with the appropriate area of the figure selected, there is a dial for the Normal maps. {usually a blue/pink image} They tend to provide details such as a bump/displacement map would. The manual should be providing more information as to why to check the normals, and/or what it is one is expected to do with it. Sometimes mat presets are made to simply add or remove the Normals. They consume render time {takes longer to render} so for figures in the distance they would not be required as the detail would not be seen.

    I succeeded thanks to you, it didn't solve the problem but you explained how the product works. It is not yet very clear to me but this faith it worked for a reason that I do not know ... : I had performed the same manipulation without success, it works.
