GPU render?

I just bought a new laptop with a RTX 2080 and a i9 cpu. I have the latest Nvidia Studio driver installed.

On my old computer, when I rendered on the GPU only option, the CPU stayed pretty quiet and didn't get hot.  With my new computer it says that it's rendering on the GPU only, but the fans are running at full blast and the cpu is running much hotter than the gpu. 86 C gpu  vs 95 C cpu.  My tech tool says the GPU load is 99-100%

Is this right? Should my cpu be working so hard on a gpu render?

Here's the log at the beginning of the render.

In render settings you can choose to not have the CPU enabled for Iray endering. A RTX 2080 should be able to render a scene without CPU. 99-100% GPU use is normal during renering. I always have both GPU and CPU enabled without problems.
